Hi --

I have recently started attending a small church in one of the suburbs due north of Evanston, Illinois
and would like to ask for help regarding an energy audit for this congregation.

The church is extremely small -- attendees range from 20 to 50 on any given Sunday (not including
the choir of around 10-15.... ) The congregation is experiencing a time of financial leanness and is looking to
do an energy audit (hopefully free) to help them, not only save energy, but to help cut costs.

I know of Faith-In- Place in the Chicago area as a possible contact, but am wondering if there are any additional
resources that I could point them to ?

Perhaps one of the members of the Orion Society listserve has been part of a congregation that has already
done an energy audit... Did they find that this process was useful to them in terms of cutting costs/ saving energy --
or both?

What seemed to be the most beneficial part of the audit? How did they save energy/ cut costs?

Do you know of funding available for energy improvements for Houses of Worship ?

Thanks so much -

Judy Cummings
